Zoning Hearing Board
Who: Andrew Hickey/Chairperson, Karen Cooley, Cyril Morris, and Gerald Zeller/legal counsel.
When: Meets as required. Meetings announced in Legal Ad section of the Evening Times.
Where: Former Council Chambers, Borough Hall, 110 W. Packer Ave.
What: The Zoning Hearing Board has exclusive jurisdiction over issues concerning land use ordinances, appeals, variances, and such other issues that may come before them. A more complete description of the Board's duties may be found in the Borough of Sayre Code, (see Chapter 173, Article XX, § 173-145, Zoning Hearing Board.)
Note: The Council President, Henry Farley, serves as an ex officio member of the borough council's committees.
Administration Committee
Who: Eugene Cerutti/Chairperson, Jim Daly, Maureen Howland
When: 3:00 PM on the First (1st) Tuesday of each month
Where: Former Council Chambers, Borough Hall, 110 West Packer Ave.
What: The Administration Committee’s function is to make recommendations to Borough Council concerning legal, financial, personnel and administrative matters. It is also has the responsibility to prepare and review the budget for adoption by Borough Council.
Public Safety Committee
The Committee is chaired by Eugene Osmun who had served as Borough Manager in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s and began serving on the Borough Council in 2010.
Who: Gene Osmun/Chairperson Jim Daly and Bob Flick
When: First (1st) Monday of each month at 5:00 p.m.
Where: Former Council Chambers, Borough Hall, 110 West Packer Ave.
What: Oversees Public Safety issues concerning the Borough of Sayre. Coordinates among the Council, the Fire Department, the Police Department, the Police Committee, the Borough Emergency Management Agency, and Valley Project Impact.
Public Works Committee
The Public Works Committee generally handles issues regarding road maintenance, parks & recreation, snow removal, sewer, trash and recycling collection, and flood protection.

When: Meets monthly on the first (1st) Monday of the month at 4:00 p.m.

Planning Commission
Borough of Sayre Code and select Chapter 23.
Who: Barbara Ault/Chairperson, James P. Bentley, Jim Daly, Rosanne McClary and Jan Scott.
When: Meets monthly on the Second (2nd) and Fourth (4th) Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m.
Where: Former Council Chambers, Borough Hall, 110 West Packer Ave.
What: Responsible for the preparation of the Sayre Borough Comprehensive Plan; preparing and presenting revised Zoning Ordinances; and making recommendations to Sayre Borough on amendments to the Zoning Ordinance.
Shade Tree Commission
Borough of Sayre Code and select Chapter 153 Trees.
Who: Melissa Post
When: Meets monthly on the First (1st) Wednesday of the month at 7:15 p.m.
Where: Former Council Chambers, Borough Hall, 110 West Packer Ave.
What: The Shade Tree Commission was founded in 2006 and is committed to preserving and growing the community forest in Sayre.
Valley Joint Sewer Authority
Who: Henry Farley, David Jarrett and Bob Dydynski
When: Meets monthly on the First (1st) Wednesday of the month at 7:15 p.m.
Where: Former Council Chambers, Borough Hall, 110 West Packer Ave.
